Why is it that even from an early age, we want what someone else has? I’ll tell you why. It’s the ‘grass is always greener’ analogy. When looking at a situation from an outside view, it looks more fun, easier, quicker, nicer, etc. Things just appear better when seen through ‘green’ eyes! Yes, I said it. Graciously accept what is for you. The envy that shows up when we see so and so’s new anything is almost embarrassing! We get in this life what is ours. No one else has that which is truly yours. If they have it, ownership has been transferred!
