This time of year is bitter-sweet. Some people are happy. Also, there are a number of individuals who are despondent. The appearance one gives could very well be a mask. We can veil so many underlying emotions…joy, pain, hurt, shame, etc. A kind word or gesture of most any sort can be a welcoming and often much-needed “gift” we can hand over to another person!
