Are you a people pleaser? You can say it here; this is a safe space! I was. I relinquished myself of those duties some years back. Oh, the comments I received! (didn’t want those to appear on social media, lol). Everyone is okay when you are okay with everything they want from you. When listening to a soul-searching message, I recognized that our behavior often is akin to theatrics. We perform for others when on the job, in the classroom and even at home. From the time we realize people are watching, we “put on“(as my grandmother would say). Even today on the socials, we want reassurance from others. We crave the likes, shares and subscribes! We somehow feel deflated when we don’t hit certain numbers…from strangers, no less. Individuals are seeking validation from Virtual unknown persons! We are better than that. Stay tuned! Coming soon!
