Many years ago, I heard for the first time the phrase “fear of success”. This comment was directed at me. It hurt and confused me simultaneously. I have many ideas and talents and often taking the first step is the absolute hardest. Why is that? Doubt stands front and center when our abilities are in question. Once that initial step is taken, it’s off to the races. The stillness that comes before the movement feels like you’re standing in concrete. Your entire body is afraid to shift for fear of making the wrong move! Recognize that any action will dissolve that fear. Show your uncertainty who’s boss!
